I had a fairly domesticated morning but went out for all this afternoon. As I walked through the churchyard I was this in tact cooker, not often you see on still it’s it’s case!
It was still ther when I came home so I collected it in case I feel inspired to try and draw it. Beautiful clematis in a garden I went by.The traffic on the road up to the A9 was at a standstill for several minutes. I imagine there were lights at the top of the road , there is always some traffic problem with the A9 and our roads get clogged up.
I decided to go up to the cairn
Not a long way but a steep path. Almost there. Then at the top and a good view.Another nice flower when I was back down and heading for Dunkeld.More pics from this beautiful afternoon.
Passed this building on the way home, never noticed the sign before!I don’t often pass that building but walked a different way so that I could see how the trough I helped plant up a few weeks ago was looking.Domesticated spell when I got home and getting ready to watch The Traitors now.

I’ve not seen a conker like that for ages. They normally break right open when they hit the ground, which is probably natures idea. It must have had a soft landing 😊 It’ll make a good still life subject.
ReplyDeleteSome lovely pics from your trip out. Beautiful skies even in the more clouded ones. Perfect for the view from the top. You do have some lovely views close by to home. It’s really nice there.
Back in the day telephone exchanges were quite large due to the relays they operated with. Bit different now everything is computerised. We’re losing so many good things to technology. Am I just an old Luddite? 😊
The trough looks good. Plenty of colour already.
Enjoy Traitors.
It was really chilly this morning when I went to the shop but it was a really lovely autumn afternoon. I think the photos came out well, not a lot of autumn colour, but bright and clear photos.
ReplyDeleteI can’t remember the last time I saw a conker like that, maybe I will get around to that sketch tomorrow.
I don’t pass that trough on my usual walks, but was interested to see how it looked.
Traitors was good, another cliffhanger ending and the next one isn’t until next Thursday
