I then thought I would make a start on the clock kit. Pretty fiddly but reasonably easy to follow instructions.
Body and then with legs,
Then ready for some add ons.
Fancy sides and then getting ready for the topknot!
That red thing is for pushing bits out!
Topknot on.
Darren and Tina arrived home and I have presents which is nice. Lovely cushion, delicious fudge and the little birds tweet and are motion activated.
After a break I decided to assemble the clock unit. Didn’t photograph the stages. I set the time for a bit later so that I could put the battery in at six, as moving the hands would mean taking it apart again!
Never got as far as putting the battery in as the bottoms fell off when I moved it! The air was blue. As it is made from card it is difficult to now try and push things together without bending and damaging other bits. I may do some dismantling and reassembling tomorrow or it may be destined for the bin!
You’re definitely not one for taking it easy, even though you should be π 28 plants is pretty good considering you have great trouble stooping down. It’s looking good. You’ll get there.
ReplyDeleteDarren and Tina always manage to find nice pressies for you. You should send them away more often π
Well now onto the clock. I really think it looks lovely considering it’s made mainly from card and pushed together. It’s quite elegant. I can imagine it took a lot of time and effort to get it to that stage. I can also imagine how blue the air was when it decided to dismantle itself. It’s no good saying I didn’t laugh ad you know me better then that π I do hope you get it back together and working. If you have access to the rear to fit the battery then most quartz movements have a thumb wheel to adjust the time. So it may not matter that the hands are covered. Good luck π€
Will hopefully get a few more plants into the garden tomorrow, some in the back this time I think.
ReplyDeleteAs to the clock, it kept me busy most of the day and it was a little frustrating when the bottom fell off! Maybe I will feel inclined to try and sort it out tomorrow.
