Try getting into Hull on the bus!

I needed to top up supplies from Lush and The Body Shop so thought I would get myself into Hull and see if I could manage to get to one, maybe even the two shops. I made my way to Lush in the city centre and got my conditioner and some bath bombs for Tina. Then I went to Waterstones and had a snack, drink and sit down. I did buy a book, absolutely charming, I hadn’t really heard of moon flowers but now intend ti get some seeds and see if I can grew some.
The Body Shop is in St. Stephens so back past the bus station and into the centre. My knee was quite sore and I almost talked myself out of it, but had time before the bus home so pushed on. Got a bottle of water and some paracetamol and headed back to the bus station. Sat in the recliner for a while when I go home.
Tina went out to post some letters and called in to have a look at Sher’s new shop. She bought me this quite small shell that had been decoupaged. Very pretty.
Not going to watch Strictly this evening as I am going to the church with Tina to listen to a Male Voice Choir. Thank goodness for catch up!

  1. I imagine it was nice to get out for a trip into Hull, even though putting the leg through its paces caused you a bit of pain. Being independent of others is a big thing, specially when you’re a stubborn old bugger 😂 The new book should be good though if it fills you with joy and wellbeing! I’ve never heard of moonflowers either.
I’m not surprised you rested up for a while in the recliner if you’re off out again this evening. Considering the problems with the leg you get out and do more than most people. When I say “most” I mean me 😊
    Nice pressie from the Rev.
    Enjoy the choir.

Haven’t seen a make voice choir for years, so should be good.
The shell is pretty and the book interesting.
