Took this photo coming back through the memorial garden, the nickname for the plant is appropriately Hot Lips!
After lunch I wrote a couple of letters and decided to take them to the nearest postbox and then call in and see Sher. This short walk pushed the limits of the leg and I had to have a rest before returning! Sher wasn’t at the shop as the window was being replaced. This lovely plant was in the church yard.
I did so some clearing in the front garden with the lopper and strimmer, but not too much. Then spent quite a while trying to get some pieces together on the jigsaw which is proving to be much trickier than I thought it would,
I keep nodding off when sitting, I think the lack of sleep and discomfort are taking their toll so will be retiring quite early again tonight,
You’ve done a fair bit of walking today, all things considered. Nice to get to the sea though. Those surfers are as mad as the ones in Scarborough. Even with a wet suit on it must be damn freezing 🥶 They need a proper hobby, like macrame 😂 I have to agree with you about the fourth pic. It’s lovely. Great light, reflections, colours and composition.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t know those plants were known as “hot lips”, but I can definitely see why.
Sounds like the postbox trip was the final straw for the leg today, or was it the lopping and stimming in the garden? Tut tut! 🙄
I thought that jigsaw would be quite hard with all that white in it, but it’ll keep you out of mischief for a while at least.
Hope the early night helps a bit.
I agree about the surfers, can’t imagine how cold that sea was!
ReplyDeleteMay have done a bit too much but hopefully no extra harm done.
It is good when you get a photo that you are really pleased with, more luck than judgement really.
Will try to do more jigsaw and less walking tomorrow!
