I spent the morning finishing the zig zag stitching then about three hours getting all of the thread ends secure!
When Tina came in she said there was a Vintage show at the Spa so we headed off to have a look and get some lunch. It had rained most of the morning and was chilly and grey.
There were masses of stalls in the show and wartime music playing to set the scene. I got some great material for just £4, in applique mode now!
By the time we got back it was beginning to brighten up so I took a walk down to the seafront. By then the sun was out and the sea spectacular.
The sea and the castle:
A couple more shots, I did take loads!
When I got home I tried to get the quilt ready for the actual quilting, getting in flat was impossible but I gave it my best shot.
Darren came home and I made a drink and decided I had done enough on the quilt for one day. We have had thunder this evening and it is now pouring with rain!
