The three of us went to Blairgowrie today, a really nice little town. We had a good wander round, had a drink in a delightful book shop, very unusual and quirky. Later on we had a nice lunch. A few pics.
We went to a shop called The Nest, it has masses of craft stuff a really low prices, stopping stuff going to landfill and they take in unused and unwanted stuff donated by crafters. Run by volunteers.I got this bunch of goodies for £7.I also bought some walking poles while we were there, an unmatching pair of course!
When I got home my Comic Relief t shirt had arrived, the back is more fun than the front which just has a small image.
Darren and Tina went to the Lock of the Lowes but I took a chair onto the porch and read for a while and Pandora enjoyed a bit of fresh air.Have started a bit of patchwork this evening, photo tomorrow.

That looks another lovely place. You certainly have plenty of them to choose from around there. Great water sign 😊 The Nest sounds like just your sort of place. You certainly came away with a bargain bundle. I imagine you’ll be going there again.
ReplyDeleteI think the walking poles are a great idea. You should find them useful when you decide to scale your next mountain! You could have definitely done with them the other day.
You must have a few comic relief T-shirts now, unless you thinned them out in the move. I remember you buying them every year while you were in Peterborough.
Your afternoon on the porch sounded very pleasant. A nice way to wind down for a while.
I’ll look forward to seeing the patchwork.
It is a lovely town , lots of second hand shops as well as nice eateries and the Nest. It is a brilliant shop and such a good idea to encourage people and helping to get things recycled.
ReplyDeleteHopefully I will try out the poles before too long, but I thinkI am still feeling the afterdecks of that adventure!
I like the bundle of materials I got, amazing value too.
