Shopping, doctors and a sketch

We walked into Dunkeld this morning as I wanted to get a lampshade for my sitting room. Jeffrey’s, the shop wasn’t open yesterday. In the end it was more of an antique/collectors type of place. So we went to have coffee and shared a scone. They had some interesting wallpaper.

Looking at my photos I have not started at the beginning, nothing new there! I had a shower and opened the window slightly afterwards, then little miss curiosity had to investigate!

After we had a drink we wandered into a pretty little garden area, it had a large stone sculpture. Somewhere for a future sketch maybe.
On the way back Tina carried on home and I went to the surgery to made a doctors appointment as I just have a couple of weeks of prescribed medication left. I have an appointment for Thursday next week, and one with a physio on Monday to get some advice on improving my flexibility. We both got home at roughly the same time as we both met people and had a chat on the way.
I have gone slightly out of order again! We went to a shop that had a 50% sale on everything. Tina got a coat and I got and I got a mini rucksack that folds down into the front pocket. Recycled too.
After lunch I decided to use the rucksack and set off for a walk along the Birnam path and did a sketch, not the easiest of subjects.
I did take some photos along the way.

We have had tea and now I am sitting with the cat having a restful evening.

  1. Does Pandora actually climb out the bathroom window, or is it too much like hard work. Cats are lazy 😊
Is the coffee shop part of Jeffrey’s or is it a different place altogether? Is that a winged leopard in the frame? I can’t quite make it out. I like the little garden area. Definitely a place for a sketch. In fact a lot of the pics tonight look like they’d make excellent sketching areas. Especially with that lovely sunshine. I think you better get a bigger sketch book 😊
If you see a shop with a 50% off sale you really do have to go in! Good job you did if Tina got a bargain coat and you got the nice little rucksack. Didn’t take you long to go out and test it, and it obviously was the right size. Was that another of your standing up sketches? You really need a little lightweight stool you can take with you. I think you should invest in a good shooting stick or similar. It’d help when you are on rugged terrain, and you’d have a seat. Perfect 😊 By the way, the sketch is very good.
Sounds like a perfect evening to me. Bet the cat thinks so too 😊

  2. The window wasn’t wide enough for Pandora to go through, I am sure she’d have done so if it had been.
The paper was a sort of winged leopard, very unusual.
The rucksack is big enough for an A4 pad which isn’t too small for sketching.
I found a rather old bench, but it was better to be sitting.
Pandora got off when I was going to make a drink, she is back again now, actually, has just this minute jumped off.
