Birds and physio

I did some washing and chores this morning and set off to my lunchtime physio appointment. I used the bird recognition app on the way and remembered how to do a screenshot - eventually, quite a few today.

When I got to the surgery I was told to take a seat and what a great waiting room! I was there on my own and it was a nice place to wait.

Thephysio lady was really friendly and after an examination she said my hips are very tight. She has given me a leaflet about coping with arthritic hips. She doesn’t know that for sure but it seems very likely to me. A lot of the exercises I have tried on and off but never really regularly, so time to get into a routine and see if things improve. We had lunch when I got back, and although it had been drizzly when I was out  it brightened up and the sun came out for a while. So I decided to move the fir tree into its larger pot.
It had been too big for that pot for a while and was leaning at an angle. Have made a mental note for to put things you are likely to move in bulbous pots.it took me about twenty minutes to remove it but I didn’t damage the tree or break the pot! It looks happier now.
We had stir fry for tea, but not out of a packet, we had lots of veg that needed using. It turned out okay.
Nothing planned for the evening except exercises!

  1. Wow, you got a fair variety of birds recognised up there. I suppose with all the nice scenery around its perfect habitat for lots of different species.
The surgery waiting room is lovely. I’d like that as a conservatory. Admit it, you had a go on the rocking horse while nobody was around 😂
I’m sure you’ll soon get into a routine with the exercises. It’s definitely worth it if it makes movement a lot easier and less painful.
I see exactly what you mean about the bulbous pot. It wouldn’t have occurred to me that the shape actually holds the root ball in there very tightly. I knew normal terracotta plant pots were the shape they are for a reason 😊 I bet you’ll remember too from now on.
Stir fries and soups, the perfect use for left over veg. Or buy less veg 😂
Don’t go too mad with the exercises!

  2. I was very tempted by the rocking horse but resisted! It really was a lovely room, not at all like the usual doctors waiting room.
The bird life seems abundant here, but it sis very rural and unspoilt.
Yes, done bulbous plot will now be used for bulbs or very small plants!
No pain no gain, just trying to build up the enthusiasm!
