It rained overnight and on and off during the day. We did have bright, dry spells but the Earth was too wet for root extraction! I did do some repotting indoors, I had some rooting powder and am hoping that the two twigs I have had in water that were knocked off during the move will take. Also cutting from the runes poinsettia but not too hopeful on that one! Then I put the twigs of twisted willow into soil with rooting powder, have had them in water for a while. Maybe none will actually take, but worth a try.
Took a photo of the Victorian planter while I was outside.I had sewn three sections of patchwork together yesterday evening. This afternoon I started cutting out material for cushion comer and stitched the patchwork on the front. After dinner I finished it off and have picked ll the sewing stuff away.Watching ‘Grace’ now.

The weather has been pretty much the same down here. Definitely not gardening weather, which is all weathers for me π I hope you manage to get some of the “twigs” to grow some roots and start a new life. But if not then I don’t suppose you’ve lost much. You’re normally pretty good at saving plants, so π€π€
ReplyDeleteThe planter is very nice, and it doesn’t look like it should be that heavy. But they didn’t skimp on materials back them, so I can imagine why you needed a trolley to move it.
I think the cushion looks great. It’s nice when you can just knock something up like that on a whim. You need another one now so you have a pair π
Enjoy your program, and I really hope you manage a decent nights sleep tonight π€π€
I was determined to use the patchwork and not start another cupboard full of half done things.π it has turned out quite well. Don’t need another one though!
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to rescue a twig, but as you say won’t be a gret loss if they don’t, as I do have enough trees and indoor plants!
Program is very good, John Simm plays a great detective.
