I have felt particularly tired today. Had been going to start on the bonsai tree root pruning but it was a grey day and a bit damp. I went out to post some letters and I haven’t tired of the mist on the hills, probably never will.
Despite the weather I decided to take a walk into Dunkeld, I was going to try and find a large mug for Tina as I managed to break two at the weekend. I walked up and down the Main Street, looked in a couple of shops but nothing suitable there. I went down the road where the charity shop is, there is a fountain in the square, not actually running but a nice structure. Then I saw this passageway and decided to investigate. I took me behind the allotments that you can see from the bridge. Some quite unusual apparatus in this play area.
I had a drink in a coffee before walking home, was fascinated by the table, explanation from Mike I think!
One more photo as I walked back. The walk back was even slower than usual as I was feeling exhausted.I sat with the cat on my lap this afternoon and we both went to sleep!
So apart from collecting and putting out bins, not much mor to say. I have the cat again but will endeavour to stay awake this time.

You’ve been busy for months, doing way too much, you’ve a lot of hills to climb now and it’s just that time of year! More rest, more sunshine and less hills and you’ll be fine 😊
ReplyDeleteI don’t think you’ll get bored with any of the scenery, especially when it’s covered with that mist. It’s a bit like the sea, different every time.
You did well to break two giant mugs at once! I know she does like her bucket of tea 😊 I saw a gigantic one the other day and I immediately thought of Tina 😊
Maybe the fountain will be in use in the summer.
You do like investigating new places. That one looks nice and even better if there are benches. Flask of tea and a sketch pad for sure.
The table is lovely. Those are called butterflies, and they are put in to stabilise the split in the wood to stop it splitting any more. I personally think they look better than if it was just a perfect bit of wood, and it rescues it.
You must be worn out if you’re nodding off in the chair like that. Not sure what the cats excuse is though!
Hope you get a good sleep tonight.
I am glad that I got out this morning even if it did tire me out. Good to find thar area with benches, definitely will be back there.
ReplyDeleteDon’t know what has got into Pandora but she is sleeping on me again! I home she decides to settle for the basket at bedtime.
I guessed the pieces in the wood were to strengthen it, butterflies seems a good descriptive word.
Tina did order herself a new mug which arrived today, I will try not to throw dishes at it!
