Travelling to Scotland

We had breakfast together this morning and just after eight Tina and I set off for Scotland and Darren set off for home.when we had been on the road for a while he sent a message saying he was home along with this picture.

Pandora was obviously pleased that someone had come home as she has never been left alone in the house overnight before.

We got to Gretna services and by then the car was down to 20% and Tina had to drive to three different sets of chargers to get one actually working! The weather was rainy on and off and never the best photos from a moving car. There was a very faint rainbow quite often which I tried to catch. There are two ‘arty’ ones, I had to lean at a funny angle in the car park to catch the crow on a sign, you can’t really tell form the blurry wet pic that it is a crow but I will post it anyway! So now a row of photos.

We arrived at Tina’s aunts house and were made very welcome, and have had a lovely meal. I don’t think either of us will be late to bed. One last pic of the view from my room.

  1. Pandora is such a traitor, anybody for a lap! As long as she’s happy though.
That’s the trouble with electric cars! So much easier to pop a drop of petrol in. I don’t think people will ever change to them in large numbers. Glad you were all sorted though and got to Tina’s aunts. Maybe charging will go better on the way home.
Lots of pics from the car. Always lots of new scenery to take. The view from your room looks nice. Maybe another tomorrow morning if it’s brighter.
Enjoy your visit and don’t go running up all the hills they have up there 😊

  2. No running planned!
It was a long journey but the autumn colours were still lovely, would have been mor so if it had been sunny.
Probably see one or two different places tomorrow when we are rested.
