A good day

I took my new medication last night and today my legs haven’t cramped up but I am not counting my chickens just yet as it might be a coincidence. But it was a good start to the day. Noel arrived by 8.30 am and has been working on the bay with French doors. It is a daunting task and it was in a terrible state. He has repaired, masked and undercoated, he will paint the gloss tomorrow.

It is looking fabulous already.

I was back in sorting and decluttering mode and have taken three carrier bags to the charity shop and have two more ready to go. I put most of the summer clothes away and got the autumn winter stuff out.

I went out briefly to buy some trainer socks and of course a couple of trips to the charity shop.

I didn’t here the Ringtons man this morning as I was busy upstairs so went downstairs this afternoon when he was calling back. I packed away the finished jigsaw and sorted out the edge pieces of the new subscription one.

I got in touch with the holiday insurance company as I needed to update my policy as I am now having investigations which they need to know.

It has been quite a productive day so I went to the chippy to get tea for us.

No visits tomorrow, both Bel and Jean are going to be otherwise engaged. Gives me a chance to do more sorting. Traitors again tonight.

  1. That’s really good news. I hope it is actually the pills doing their job and they do it again tonight ๐Ÿ˜ŠA less painful morning is really a better way to start your day. It seems to have set you up to get on with things. Not that you need too much encouragement to declutter. You’ve had a lot of practice at it in the past! It’s all good though and by now you must be the local charity shops best donator ๐Ÿ˜Š
That is a big old bay and French doors for the painter. They look pretty good in the pic so will look really good after a coat of gloss. I bet he looks forward to his weekends off ๐Ÿ™‚
I like your new puzzle. The picture reminds me of a stretch of river in Stratford Upon Avon with that church in the background.
It’s best to keep the holiday insurance people up to date. Hopefully you’ll never need, but it’s something that you can’t travel without these days, unless you’re very rich ๐Ÿ™‚
Unusual for both your visitees/visitors to be busy. But I’m sure you’ll get plenty of sorting done, and won’t waste the time.
    Enjoy Traitors.

  2. Yes, good not to have had a cramping spasm, still have the other aches and pains in the knees but they are manageable.
That bay does look so much better already, as you say it will look gret with the gloss done.
I have booked the hotel for when I deliver the cakes with Darren, just got to make sure they are finished before I go away as I will only have one full day at home before we leave with them!
Best to be totally honest with the insurance, they don’t need much of an excuse to refuse payment!
Best get a couple of chores done before Traitors.
