Birnam and Pitlochry dam

We had a nice evening with Tina’s aunt and this morning we took a ride out to Birnam and then to Pitlochry dam. Birnam. A pretty village and really interesting dam, although the visitor centre wasn’t open which was a shame. Some, or rather a lot of photos, two entries today I think! The first few were in the Beatrix Potter garden, I didn’t actually go inside the exhibition.

Then a walk around the village, lots of interesting buildings.

One from the car as we drove to the dam.
Lots of up and down steps but a really interesting look round.

Tina took this one as I was not tall enough to see the spinning thing! Very technical that!
That is the grabber which removes all the logs etc.

Going to do another entry now so as not to overload this one.

  1. Wow, again there’s too many good pics to comment on. You two managed to fit a lot in in such a short stay. I do envy the scenery. It beats anything we have down here. It really makes me realise what I’m missing. Envious of you little trip, moi?

  2. It has been a bit of a whirlwind of a day, but as you say, beautiful scenery. I did delete quite a few photos, that is the beauty of digital photography.
