On my way to visit Bel I saw the lady who runs the charity shop and she was really in the Halloween spirit!
Had a drink with Tina when I got home and then she went out for lunch and I went to catch up with Sher who had been poorly yesterday.
My Christmas cactus is flowering on the landing, overhanging the stairs as is my fern.
The man from the diocese came thin afternoon to check we were happy with the windows and to have yet another look at the outhouses! We won’t be holding our breath!
From the windows I could see a splash of yellow at the bottom of the garden so I went to investigate and it was the hosta dying off!
I haven’t taken a picture of my veggie boxes for a while, but thought I would today, very tasty looking as always.
I’ve seen a few people dressed up in shops in town today. In Mc D’s all the the staff were dressed up, and in Poundland. It a bit of fun.

The landing is like a giant greenhouse with all the light that gets to it. Your Christmas cactus is doing very well. I used to have one that bloomed well, but as you can probably guess it died! Every plants nightmare coming into this house!
I suppose they’ll eventually have to do something with the outhouses as it’s listed, but maybe they’re just waiting for them to fall down. Won’t be much longer 🙂
The veggie box looks great as usual. Are they mushrooms in the bottom right corner? They’re so white and shiny they look like porcelain ones. We don’t get nice looking ones like that down here 😂

Yes, Halloween is really popular now, as you say a bit of fun. I have a white Christmas cactus as well but that isn’t flowering yet.

Yes, that is mushrooms in the box, and it was a really lovely cauliflower this time.
Probably won’t have much energy tomorrow!
