More painting completed

I was up nice and early to get to the postbox before the painter arrived. He has been working on the porch and the inside of my sitting room window and of Tina’s office. I worked on the jigsaw a bit today, I had lots of things I could be doing but I felt I needed to get out for a walk. One of the tamarix trees is changing colour now before it dies off. They have been pretty successful this year.

I walked to the front and had a chai latte in a cafe on the way back.

This bush hd pretty leaves in the memorial gardens.
This chrysanthemum in the front garden has so may buds it will be a picture when they open.

My window in progress.

I had a very apt present from Mike on the post today. That made me smile.

I bought some printing ink as I had a few blocks that I wanted to try and print. What a mess I got into but they work quite well. I think I will be able to make use of the extra printing as the sheet where I was just trying to use up the ink, was interesting.
A couple of photos from the walled garden, the lovely show in the bath planter and the Michaelmas daisies.

The painter glossed the porch today and with the windows the house looks splendid.

I will finish off with a couple of photos from Tina, one yesterday when she had found a bench with a view. And one of sunset this evening.

  1. Getting out for a bit is always good. Sometimes the stuff you really should be doing has to wait. The sea always calls, so it's hard to resist at times, and chai latte is the same 😊 Looks a bit gloomy at the front.
I don't know how the painter has managed the insides of the windows with that double glazing in the way like that. I appreciate it's probably because he didn't want the hassle of refitting it, but all the same I bet he curses a lot 😊
Glad you liked the socks. When I saw the message on them I had to get them.
The block prints look really nice, and as you say even the other sheet is quite arty. I look forward to seeing the result when you use them.
Not much of the bath planter visible now. Nice and colourful though.
The pic of the front of the house is a really good one. Shows it off nicely. you really should print that one and hang it in the hallway. The drive isn't full of cars either 😊
Wherever Tina goes she always ends up with nice views. Her boss does look after her sometimes.

  2. I don’t know how he is managing to paint the insides of the window either, but he is and they look fine. He painted the shelf below my window too and Pandora was very interested, luckily she didn’t jump on there as it is still tacky!
No, you can’t see the planter which in a way is a shame but the plants in there have been very happy.
Everything was black when I had done the printing, that is the downside…..
