Hull fair

This morning I was out early as usual to get the rolls for lunch then I worked for a while on the jigsaw before going to visit Bel. She had been out for the day on Friday with her neighbours so she was feeling quite tired today, but had really enjoyed her trip. When I got home we made an early lunch and we were going to go to Hull fair. Tina drove to St Stephens and from there we caught a bus to the fair. Special buses are laid on with designated bus stops and  cheaper fare. I had forgotten just how long the the approach road was and how many food stalls there were! One photo just before we arrived at the attractions and one at the first sight.

A couple more  as we walked through, the third on is on the big wheel and the little friend was won by Darren and Tina on the rifles.

Darren and Tina went on the spinning roller coaster, one as the were about to set off, and one, which I wa please to get, at the top of a drop.

We walked past all the food stalls and bought some sweet treats, we had had a big lunch before we came out so didn’t try any of the delicious looking foods. We got a bus quickly and back up to the car, which is on the top floor. A photo I took while Tina was paying for the parking.

We were back in time for the family call and now I am settling in ready for Strictly.

    Bit of a different Saturday for you then. A visit and the fair, sounds fun. I remember the Hull fair, especially those delicious delicacies on the way in. I’d have gone for the foods rather than the rides. I don’t have the stomach for being thrown around these days. Glad to see you took part though. Was the rifle prize passed onto you, or is it staying with Darren and Tina?
    Was it a bit chilly there?
    Makes a change to do something like that every now and then.

    The prize has been gifted to me, called Gully! It did make a nice change and I love the size of it and the atmosphere.
    It didn’t feel too chilly, lots of people warming the air, as well as all that food cooking!
    I have enjoyed Strictly, will be interesting to see who is in the dance off tomorrow.
