Boot sale and Driffield

Darren and I did go to the boot sale, our cafe was closed but the other one was open, so we had a sausage sandwich, albeit not as nice as usual! A few more stalls this week but we weren’t tempted except o got five of these glass sweet jars for a river and hope Sher will like them. If not they will make great storage jars.

Sorry not a great shot, taken in artificial light. Darren spotted this sign on a van in the car park.

When we got home I spotted this holly bush was just coming into flower.

We had a cup of tea with Tina and then the three of us set off for Driffield. We dropped Darren off at the show ground so that he could look round a radio rally and Tine drove us into Driffield town. We were surprised how busy it was and that a lot of the shops were open. Spotted this sign in a charity shop.

We stopped for coffee and cake, very naughty but nice.

Took a picture of the end of a house!

And bought this jar of hot chocolate because it was so bizarre, tasty quite normal though!
It is green!
We went to a farm shop cafe for some lunch before coming home.
Haven’t done much else, watched the Strictly results after dinner.
No painter coming tomorrow, he will be back on Wednesday.

  1. The jars were a bargain. They’re normally plastic these days, so proper glass ones are a lot better. They’d make great storage jars in the kitchen.
The sign is very appropriate. The government are a bunch of lying bums. Sooner they go the better!
Holly in flower, we all know what that means…….I’m not going to say it!
It’s good to hear there was plenty going on in Driffield. Good for business for them and good for you to mooch round and eat very bad cake! 😊 I think I need one of those signs these days πŸ™‚
The picture on the end of the house is unusual. Not really sure what it’s all about.
Green hot chocolate. Very weird. People do have the inbuilt thing about tastes being the right colour. Green chocolate is all wrong. I’d buy it though 😊
A couple of days off from painter sitting. The world is your oyster. Go out and enjoy it πŸ˜‚

  2. The cake was ginger and caramel, very naughty but nice.

Seeing a couple of people tomorrow but gong to Beverley on Tuesday.
Will be thinking about getting ready for bed soon!
