I have been reasonably busy today, setting off out to walk to Tesco and do the main shop before 8am. I only just managed to squeeze everything into my fairly large shopping trolley. It was pretty heavy too, so good exercise bringing it home. I was going to buy flowers there but not much choice, so I went to the local Co-op and no better, so walked along to the florist and got some there to make the place welcoming for Tina’s return. I made myself a drink as I had a while before ten when I could collect my fused glass piece. I am very happy with how it has turned out. Need to start thinking about what I will do at next weeks workshop.
They had some different jams at the flower place and a very reasonable price. I have never had fig jam, but like figs so thought I would give it a try.
The rest of the day has been mostly chores, changing bedding, washing etc and generally making the house welcoming. The latest jigsaw arrived today but can’t take a photo as I have a sleeping cat on my lap, so will post one tomorrow.
Having this quiet time with Pandora before I get everything ready for the garden market tomorrow.
You’re getting as bad as me, out shopping before 8 am! Luckily, my shop is quite small just for me, but you have a lot to feed in your household so definitely a very heavy trolley. It’ll be nice for Tina to come home to a nice clean and tidy house, and some really nice flowers. Her time away seems to have gone very quickly.
ReplyDeleteYour fused glass piece looks really lovely. I can see why you’re pleased with it. I’ll look forward to seeing the next one soon.
I’ve never tried fig jam either, but it does sound good. Have you actually opened it yet?
I can imagine that you are totally pooped after a busy day, so a bit of quiet time with Pandora sounds a great idea 🙂 You should definitely do it more often!
Collecting the glass was definitely the highlight of the day. Although nice to have the house tidy even though it won’t last long with three clutter bugs to mess it up!
ReplyDeleteDid try the jam, very tasty!
