Not a great deal to write about today. We had been told the contractors were coming about 8.30 am to remove the plant growth on the outhouses and assess what need to be done. They didn’t arrive into almost ten, I hate hanging about as you don’t get started on anything. So I started sorting outfox coloured pieces in the jigsaw.
The contractors did the clearing and took photos to send the the diocese architect. He is on holiday so nothing can be done yet. They were going to clear the drains today and are coming back tomorrow to clean the gutters. The dahlias have done well this year.
I visited Sarah and David this afternoon, Sarah was feeling very low and extremely negative about life in general, so not the most cheerful of visits.
I did start trying to piece some jigsaw together, this one is going to take a loooooooong time!
I hate hanging about when people are late. There’s no need for it and they could at least ring to warn you. Nobody cares and more. It’s sad!
ReplyDeleteAt least you got to do a bit of the jigsaw. Only a little bit though. I agree, I think it’ll take longer than usual, but with three of you it’ll help.
I don’t know why they bother sending pics of the outhouse. If it’s a listed building that surely includes the outhouses, so they’ll have to be fixed regardless. It’d be nice if you could actually use them in the future.
Some lovely flower pic. You must have had some sunshine up there. It’s not been too bad a day here, although quite windy and a shower late afternoon. Soon be winter ☹️
Hopefully Sarah will be on better form next time you visit. It’s hard to have a decent conversation when some is feeling like that.
Never mind, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully everyone will be cheerful, and on time 😊
We have had quite a bit of sunshine today but the wind was strong and pretty chilly.
ReplyDeleteThe men aren’t coming until about 9.30 am tomorrow, so no rush. I hope the wind abates as doing out gutters in that wind wouldn’t be a good idea!
Some really pretty blooms in the garden at the moment.
I am not itching to get back to the jigsaw at the moment!
