We headed off to Scarborough this morning as Tina had a voucher we wanted to use at Sainsbury’s. The traffic was quite heavy but we detoured and stopped at the mere for a cuppa. We did but sine bird feed but they weren’t very hungry today.
We went to Tesco and both bought some clothes to get the extra Nectar points with a voucher. Then we went into the town and both got some bargain bits in M&S and some nice healthy snacks in Grape Tree.
Then we went and had a very nice lunch, nice wallpaper in the loo!
We stopped at a nursery and I bought a few plants and some bulbs.
We were home before Darren which is good.I will finish with a picture of an order antirrhinum which appeared in the garden which I didn’t plant!
It’s very unusual that the birds at the mere weren’t hungry. They must have been well fed lately.
ReplyDeleteA trip to Scarborough is always nice. Clothes and other bargains just makes it better! I like the wallpaper in the loo. It wasn’t a fish and chip place was it by any chance? I don’t think I’ve ever taken a pic in a public loo. You’ve taken several over the years.
More bulbs 🙄 I suppose it’ll give you something to dig out another year! The antirrhinum is nice. See, I said you didn’t need to do so much gardening. They look after theirselves. Put your feet up and let them get on with it!
Funnily enough it wasn’t a fish and chip shop, but that would have fitted in well.
ReplyDeleteNot too many bulbs this time, ten crocuses and five tulips. I still have ten pink centred daffodils to plant that I got at the boot sale.
There was an auction on today but we were good and didn’t go to look!
