Jigsaw and garden

Wasn’t feeling too energetic first thing so put a few bits in the jigsaw before going out I the garden.

I had several short spells in the garden with rests in between. I started strimming at the back of the garden until the batteries ran out. I started hoeing but then decided to cut the rhubarb and tidy that bed. A large pile of leaves.

I cut all the levels off and loaded the rhubarb in the trug.
Indoors I made up seven bundles and a bit later I took the round to the parish hall. The Families at Three group meet on Tuesday afternoons and there are usually plenty of takes for it.
After lunch I finished the jigsaw. I had noticed a cross on the box this morning and found it was indicating where the missing piece should be!
I went out and did some more hoeing, tidied up the sunflower bed and planted most of the plants that I had waiting in that bed.

Not doing much this evening, gardening makes me ache now, must be feeling my age!

  1. Does doing that jigsaw make you want sweets? It would me 🙂 It’s certainly came together quicker than the last one.
I love rhubarb. We did have some in the garden here at one point but it was very skinny stuff and was virtually unusable. It eventually died off. Your rhubarb looks good. I hope you’ve got some left to make a crumble.
A little bit of gardening at a time is good. Well, it’s better for you let’s put it that way. It still makes you ache though. Your age May account for some of it, sadly it comes to us all ☹️
A quiet evening with the tv and cat will be a nice wind down. Enjoy it.

  2. It didn’t really make me want sweets, it was a nice puzzle to do but probably a bit too easy.
If I can get some jobs done now I the garden it will be a good start, even the weeks give up growing in the winter, well, most of them do!
There are a few sticks of rhubarb still in the garden if I feel the urge to have some!
Cat is out at the moment so my legs are my own!
