Early walk and garden centre

I went for a walk before 8am, it was a lovely morning. I walk up to the beginning of the trail, the dry stream has some puddles now but still a long way from being a stream again!

It was nice being on the trail in the early morning.

Some nice sea pictures.

When I came home I had a cuppa with Tina and the went to the banking hub. We had a look round the garden and I endeavoured to photograph this fantastic web.
I started to sort the edge pieces of the latest jigsaw while Tina caught up with some paperwork, not work related! Then we set off to find Southwood garden centre in Cottingham. We had lunch there and this pretty picture was on the wall in the cafe.

There was a great skeleton over the entrance and a singing owl inside!

I bought some compost and a terracotta trough. We stopped at another garden centre on the way home where I bought a few bedding plants.
I got dinner and watered the bonsai trees and now have my furry friend on my lap. I need to finalise my design for the workshop tomorrow and then watch the last part of the drama before bed.

  1. That all sounds like a very nice day. It’s always good to get out first thing in the morning, and even better when you live next to the sea. Hopefully the dry stream will soon be flowing again, as that would possibly mean the hosepipe ban would be lifted. You could certainly do with that.
Your early morning pictures along the beach with the sun still low in the sky are really good. The one with the silhouettes and shadows is really good. You are extremely good at finding good subjects like that. Seeing the waves crashing like they do never gets boring. So much power in the water. It’s a shame we can’t harness it more than we do at the moment.
Glad to hear you and Tina got out for lunch and got a few more plants, which you always need. Did you get any bulbs? 😊
I bet you’re really looking forward to tomorrow?
Enjoy the last part of the drama.

  2. It really was a lovely morning for a walk, and the light is different as well.
No bulbs today and not too many plants!
I am looking forward to tomorrow, not sure I will be able to do what I plan to do but I will give it a good go!
