A frustrating day

The contractors who arrived much later than expected yesterday were due to come and clean the gutters today, I asked what sort of time they expected to be here and they said about 9.30am. I was up a bit later today but had the gate open etc in readiness. I started trying to fit a few more pieces into the jigsaw while I waited for them to arrive. No show by ten thirty so I went to get a couple of bits at the shop. Did a couple of chores and a bit more jigsaw and when they hadn’t arrived by 12.30 pm I went to send of a package at the post office and see the sea!

I sat with the cat for a while when I got back and then went out and did a bit of strimming and clearing where Tina had done such a good job last week. The men who cut the lawn may be able to mow a bit further tomorrow. When I was taking the cart to the garden bin I took some photos in the front garden.

I did do a bit of jigsaw while getting dinner, it really is a stinker, I haven’t even completed the fox yet and some of the pieces just push together and if you try one that doesn’t fit the rest all move about! Just another frustration!

Had a very early night last night, will endeavour to stay up later today!

  1. The workmen sound like a total bunch of planters. No respect for the customer at all. If it were me I’d sack them and get someone more reliant do the work. I certainty wouldn’t be waiting in for them in the future. They’d have to sit in the van and wait for me to get back!
At least you still managed to get some of your jobs sorted. The jigsaw does look a bit of a bugger to do. The colours are so close and the bits are very weird shapes. I think you’ll be getting your monies worth from that one πŸ™‚
I hope the gardeners turn up tomorrow. You could do without them letting you down too 😊 Good British workmen. No such thing these days.
You have to go with the flow when it comes to sleep. If you need a few early nights there’s not much you can do about it.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.

  2. That should have said plonkers, not planters 😊

  3. I won’t be hanging around again, but I will be around in the morning for the men to come to do the lawns.
The puzzle is very tricky and I would imagine the large fox is the easiest bit as the rest of the picture is a mass of green areas!
Beginning to feel weary again now, no, fun this getting older!
