This morning I set off with Tina to go and visit her at aunt and cousin in Pitlochry. We spent a couple of hours with them and Tim gave me a yucca, which needs some tlc and three more monkey puzzle tree saplings. I had one already which is doing okay but have had it outside, his have been in the greenhouse and he thinks they should be indoors for the first couple of years. So now I have the four of them inside too. May have to move out of my living room!!
We then set off for Crieff which is in the opposite direction, we had a voucher for free spring bulbs there in a garden centre, and would possibly stop for a look round the town as I know it has good sculptures. The journey there is breathtaking so rather a lot of pics from going and coming! We did as you might expect. Buy plants nd pots nd spent too much at the garden centre. They have some cows not bears there, the one outside the garden centre ws a set, buti stood by it as it had been raining,
Now photos, I have deleted quite a few!
When we got home I had more flowers arrive from Tina, she says she only orders them when they are on offer, but they are beautiful and I love having them.
Having a quiet evening now.
Yes the plants are definitely taking over your living room. Looks good though.
ReplyDeleteYou and bulbs. I thought you’d left that obsession behind in Hornsea! 😊 You two are like addicts when you go to garden centres. You need to try to go in one and not buy anything. I don’t think you could manage it 😂
What a great trip through all the lovely scenery. The more places you visit the more envious I get. Very quiet roads too.
You’re definitely spoiled with flowers, but you do get a lot of pleasure from them, so it’s nice that Tina gets them.

That particular route is just spectacular driving right between those huge hills/mountains. But at one point they had cut down all the trees and you were right next to a very sheer drop, which didn’t seem too bad when tall trees were along the edge!
ReplyDeleteGot a couple of pots that were reduced, maybe picture of them tomorrow. We bought a hydrangea to go in one, then if Tina moves jobs it can come with us!
The flowers are lovely, and more plants to tend will help keep me busy.
