Jigsaw and painting

Yesterday evening I began to plan what I would do with the set of Russian dolls. I started with fruit and veg which was my original thought and I also thought about the Wizard of Oz characters. Over night when I couldn’t sleep I thought of different fruit and veg although happy with the pineapple and marrow. More of the update later.
This morning I went and had breakfast withDarren at Lily’s. Haven’t seen the sea for a little while so that was nice.
We had dinner at lunchtime today as Tina has gone to Mirfield this afternoon, she is on a training course for a couple of days. But I carried on with the jigsaw as the leg is still quite painful. Finished it just before we ate.
When I came upstairs I did a revamp of the three smaller dolls, I think these will be the ones I use, but without the faces.
Then I painted the pig mug, will take it up to the pottery studio on Wednesday. It may be a while before it is fired.
The pig is pink, you can’t  really tell in artificial light.
Feet up at the moment, will watch Vera with Darren in a bit.

  1. I think the Russian dolls will look good as veggies. Very unusual 🙂 The wizard of Oz characters would have been ok, but veggies are better. I really will look forward to seeing those finished. Can't imagine it will be too soon though. The pig mug should be nice once it's fired. As you said, not the best light to view it in.
Glad you got out with Darren this morning. Always nice to see the sea, specially after a little break. Love the first sea pic.
    Enjoy Vera.

  2. Quite a productive day, and not too much strain on the leg which is still a bit iffy. I want to do a good job on the dolls, so won’t be hurrying it. I am hoping another sample may have been fired when I go to the studio on Wednesday.
It was good to see the sea, hopefully will be walking down ther again before too long.
