This morning I fed the birds as usual, the seagulls circle now and there must be about thirty comedown when I come indoors, also wood pigeons crows and pigeons. I usually stay out for a while to let the blackbirds and robin have some food before the big boys descend! Then I got ready to catch the bus up to Freeport and get painting at the pottery studio. The candlestick had bee fired and the two hearts that I painted. Pleased with them all but particularly the candlestick.
Today I was going to paint a clock and Caroline thought a tree something like one that is on the wall in the studio. There is not a lot of space in the centre of the clock and I must admit to a moment of panic! It started by some pencil guidelines to get me going.
Some hours later it was finished and ready for firing.
They have some interesting now stock, some new mugs, mostly with cats and one solitary pig one. That has come home with me to paint, it is so cute!
I had a bit of time before the bus home so I walked up to Pound Stretcher and got a few bits. When I got home I went out to take the bin up to the front wall. The sun catching the tree was just lovely.
The Traitors is on later, I am hooked!
The bee bag is gorgeous. Well worth the effort I’m sure it took.
ReplyDeleteThe hearts look really nice, but the candlestick definitely takes top prize tonight. I think it’s really lovely. The ivy has come out so well and must have been so fiddly to paint.
Oh my, it gets better. The clock looks great as it is and I’m sure will look even better when it’s fired. Bet they’re chuffed to bits with that. It should definitely encourage others to have a go when it’s on show. You’re quite clever really aren’t you? 😀
The piggy mug could have been made specifically for you. You’ll have fun with that one 🙂
You caught the light on that tree perfectly. It’s definitely been a very artistic day 🙂
Very pleased with todays and yesterday evenings efforts, I am hoping the clock will be good, and I really was delighted with how the candlestick turned out.
ReplyDeleteYes, will enjoy painting the mug and still have the Russian dulls to think about!
