Quite a full day today. I did some washing and household chores before I went out. A better day so I was able to hang the washing outside. Then I decided I would walk into town and catch the park and ride bus out to the Seamer Road. Got a bit of an odd look when I asked for a return from the town end, but was given it! The park and ride is reasonably near Deans Garden Centre, and I wanted to get some spare bird feeders so that I could clean the existing ones properly. The gorse was lovely in the sunshine at the side of the car park at the other end.
I walked along to the garden centre and bought the feeders, had a cup of tea and a scone before heading back to catch the bus. In town I got supplies at the material shop to make the picnic quilt that I saw in the old fashioned quilting book I got at the boot fair yesterday. By the time I got home my legs were aching a bit, but I replaced the feeders and washed the old ones before I had a rest. The fritillary is flowering in one of the tubs, they are so pretty.
I had a drink with Tina when she got in, then took a walk down to the front, as it was a lovely day and the sun still shining. Took a couple of pictures of the sea, well actually I took loads, trying to catch the crashing waves, but will just post a couple, one in each direction!
This evening I have started drawing and cutting the pieces for the quilt.
The sky looked lovely and blue and the sea with its darker colour against it.
ReplyDeleteIm sure the Picnic quilt will be wonderful, looking forward to seeing it. X
I'll give progress updates. It was a lovely day, the wind was a bit cool, but much better than yesterday.x
