After lunch I reluctantly went into the garden with the intention of weeding the beds. I didn’t get far. I had roughly hoed a couple of areas and then went to the bed with the magnolia in. There are two pampas grasses in that bed, the large one is fine but the smaller one was getting engulfed by the couch grass. So I dug it up and remixed the couch grass roots
Then I planted it in the large bed where the bird baths and yucca are.
It looks a bit lost in there, but hopefully it will flourish.
I worked for a bit over an hour and a half and I felt shattered so came in as I was having to go and water later. I did get the last of the plants I bought on Sunday into the ground.
I did water the back garden but didn’t drag the house round to the front, will water that tomorrow
Tina was back from her meeting quite early and we drove to the sea front, it was very cold so we didn’t walk too far!
Then, as the sun was setting Tina drove to the mere.

Your day started nicely, a bit of jigsawing, a bit of visiting and a bit more jigsawing. Then you go and spoil it by slaving like an Irish navvy in that garden. At least it appears you had the sense to pack in while you could still walk into the house and not have to crawl! At least the yukka I’d grateful that you rescued it from its strangled state. With all the space it has now it’ll be be breathing in deeply tonight 😂

Yes, a quiet start, could have kept at the jigsaw all day, buts needs overruled the temptation!
