There were trees growing inside that cold frame which hasn’t been used for years, I had cut the tops off and the roots were a challenge to remove.
I had a short break just before midday and watched the beginning of the VE Day service. Then I did go out with the strimmer to get that path passable!
At least you can see there is a path now!
I was tired but wanted to get the cold frame set up pan pavers rather that earth and get my sunflower seedlings in there to harden off. When I move things out onto the area by the greenhouse they are dug out by birds or other creatures!
I am aware of the fact that a strimmer isn’t the long term answer but there are times that needs must!
When indoors I finished my book and started on the jigsaw.
Before tea I went out and watered the garden and these small alliums are appearing.
Quiet evening now.
I thought you might actually have a quiet day today and take it easy. I really should have know better! You’ve actually done a lot today, and it does look a lot better for it. You probably don’t though π
ReplyDeleteThe strimmer is a very handy tool. It’s definitely a lot better than you having to bend and dig stuff out. As you say, it’s not a long term answer, but needs must sometimes. And if someone went to all that trouble to invent it, then don’t knock using it π
I hope your evening continues to be a quiet one and you haven’t jinxed it by saying it would be π€
Probably more than I planned to do, may do a bit in the morning, then again….
ReplyDeleteNot visiting Bel until Saturday but will still be seeing Jean.
A lot of bending today so painful thighs for a change!
