Breakfast with Sher and a walk to Freeport

I went to the banking hub and my little duck earrings made the lady on duty laugh, she said I had brightened her day. I finished the jigsaw before I went to meet Sher. I really enjoyed this one , a good buy from the boot sale by Darren.
We had breakfast at Mondo and a good chat. I am going to one of her terrarium classes on Thursday to make up the numbers.
I haven’t been having very long walks of late. Well, not really long at all but by my standards! I wanted somethings at Pound Stretcher so walked up to Freeport. Although it has now been rebranded as Hornsea village.
I walked up by the bus route as I was going to call in at the pottery studio and they have recently moved to a new unit at the opposite end to Polly’s Path.
The new unit is much better and looks really good, I had a cuppa and a chat with Rob and then walked up to Pound Stretcher. I walked home via Polly’s Path.
I thought the blossom and sunlight made this patch of ground a bit like a Monet painting.
On the way back I spotted more poppies at the fire station.
My legs were complaining a bit when I got home but I was pleased to manage the walk both ways.
I have pottered this afternoon and will go and do the watering soon

  1. I thought the ducks would give them a chuckle. They must look forward to you going in there.
That is a nice jigsaw. Darren does have some uses then? 🙂
Nice weather for a walk, but maybe a little too hot. Got all your steps in one go though! Glad to hear the move of units worked out ok. Hopefully they’ll do more business too, that’d be a nice bonus.
I do like Polly’s path. Monet inspired too now, so that makes it even better 😊
It’s a while since you’ve walked there and back, so I’m not surprised your legs are complaining.
Enjoy the rest of the evening.

  2. Yes, my earrings a talking point at the hub.
I will try and walk up there more regularly again, then the legs won’t complain so much!
Off to roll that hose out now!
