A lot more to write about yesterdays adventures, we visited some lovely places. First stop after the stained glass place was Thornton le Dale, we parked up and walked up to this very pretty view.
We walked along that path by the river and this photo was taken at a small bridge just out of view in this shot.
We walked down into the village and had a really nice lunch there before heading off to Hutton le Hole.
We parked up and then went into the Ryedale Folk Museum. Took a photo of this 'book' with Rachel in it to give an idea of the size of the display.
The museum is actually a replica village, it is absolutely lovely and we realised after we came home that we had only seen about half of it!
I will let you know if I ever try any of the traditional recipes! We passed this horseshoe wall as we were entering the village.
These were the first two shops, it really set the scene.
Me inside the village store/post office.
There were all sorts of workshops but will just post the picture of the wheelwrights.
This fabulous hearse was in the coffin makers/undertakers.
Me having a silly moment in the stocks!
The model village was absolutely charming, all the building in stone.

Inside one of the cottages.
That was quite a big one, Rachel and I decided we would go into retirement in this one!!
Just one shot inside.
Today Rachel and I had a quiet morning. We went to the cafe for breakfast, came back and listened to music and both coloured one page from the stained glass colouring books. I have them up in my window for now.
We watched the grand prix and Rachel is on her way home now. It was great to spend some time with her.
