This morning I went with Tina to church as she was preaching today. It was a lovely morning again and the strip of light of the sunrise over south bay was lovely.
Took St Mary's through an arch.
Then the castle from the church yard.
After the service I walked home and started cutting up pruning to bag up. Filled a bag just as it was beginning to rain. A little visitor came chirping along while I was working.
Tina and I had planned to do some more pruning, but as it was raining we had a trip out to Pickering instead, had a nice lunch and wandered around a bit. We saw the most horrible cake I have ever set eyes on in a shop window, it was about 18 inches high!
We did a bit of shopping in Lidl, I got some extending loppers which should help with the high pruning. We took a scenic route back and stopped at a viewing car park near Whitby. The weather had changed and it was a beautiful afternoon.
Took a picture of Tina there and my shadow makes me look dramatically thin!!
When we got home, the weather still fine, we bagged up the pruning I did this morning and did some more, so when we get some more bags there is plenty more bagging to do> That includes a mountain of very nasty brambles, so it will be strong gloves that day!
All the gardening is keeping you busy, I agree about the cake and what a horrid colour, surly nobody will pay good money for it? The little bird looks lovely. X
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine anyone actually wanting such a cake, but there is no accounting for taste! Are you home or about to make the journey? xxx
