This morning the wind and rain were at full pelt and coming at the front of the house. Amazingly, despite the wind, the bird feeder is still standing! This photo is fun simply because it makes the houses and cars look wavy!
I cleaned up my auction buys, I love the little cabinet, not sure of it's origins or age but it seems old and in pretty good condition.
I have managed to stand the lovely walnut book rack next to the bookcase on the landing. Haven't decided what is going on there yet, will probably re-arrange some ornaments so that you can still appreciate the details of the rack.
I finished the patchwork place mat a couple of nights ago and it looks good on the new tray table.
I tried putting my large tarantula model and one of a gecko in the cabinet, but they were too dark so put in these guys instead who may have been saying 'Let me out' if they could talk/
Darren and I joined Tina and other church members at a bring a share lunch which was very tasty and interesting as they had a lady who had been doing missionary work in South Sudan for 16 years telling us about her work. Back home I had just put on a dvd when Tina came up and said that I really must go with her and see the sea. We drove to the cliff tops and the wind and sun were making it truly fabulous, if bitterly cold in the wind. Took many photos as you can imagine, but will just post a couple.
Sea looks very cold and choppy Brrr. Your purchases look very interesting, where are you puting them all,? X
ReplyDeleteThe book rack will stay where it is on the landing. The cabinet is on the nest of tables and I am using the little tray table for my drinks instead of the smallest of the nesting set. Bit calmer outside now! x
