A wet and miserable day today, cold too. Darren took us to the station, as we decided to make the planned trip to Filey on the bus anyway. I realised that I hadn't got my camera, but Anya took some pictures with her phone and has sent them to me so that I have some for the blog. The bus was very steamed up on the way, and it was really cold and horrid when we first arrived, and for much of our visit, but we managed to have fun.
Isobel looking very tiny against the fisherman statue! Then we walked on the beach.
Isobel loves the beach, whatever the weather, her hands were almost blue at one point during the day!
Two pictures of Isobel and I, one with the sea just behind us and one with us on the promenade.

Then one I didn't know had been taken of me on the bus on our journey home!
It had dried up by then so we could see out of the windows. We had enjoyed a long time in an amusement arcade and had a very nice snack  in a small cafe where they had prints of local paintings for sale, so we got a couple of those. When back in Scarborough we had a good wander around the town checking out shops that Anya has spotted yesterday that were closed because it was Sunday. The sunset was pretty lovely and this one was from the cricket ground.

Then a last one as we got to Woodall Avenue.
I was shattered but this evening we walked into town again and had dinner at Florios with Darren and Tina. Lovely meal and we managed to have a good day despite the weather.
