This morning I stayed in and made up sandwiches for Tina's 'Not home alone' lunch. I also thought I would make one last attempt to get cheese scones right, not had any success since I moved to Scarborough. Today they were good! I set off to town to collect my tickets for the trip on Thursday and then to try and give blood. The sky was quite dramatic as I walked up Trafalgar Road.
The blood donating session was frustrating. decided to be honest about having had the chest infection and the man who booked me in thought there would be no problem but when the nurse came across she said I had to by 'symptom free' for two weeks, which obviously I wasn't, so refused again and didn't even get to check the iron level! Phoned when I got home and the next appointment free isn't until half way through May, As I was earlier than \I thought and the sky had cleared and it was a lovely day I decided to take a walk on to the Valley Bridge. Been across it in the car but never actually walked there. This view of the bridge has Oliver's Mount in the distance. Another place on my 'to do' list.
The view from the bridge was attractive.
Tina and I arrived home at about the same time and she had a lot of sandwiches left over today, so we cut them up and went off to feed the birds.

Liked these two shots as they had close ups of birds in flight.

  1. Busy day then, and a shame about the blood. You should give it a miss now and have more tattoos instead. What would be next?
Can't see the last two pics, but I know what they are :-)
