I decided to walk into Dunkeld again today and see if I could do it without being exhausted. I wanted to collect the two canvasses I bought at the cathedral fund raiser for a children’s cancer charity. I took a couple of pics on the way there.
Not sure if I will put them up, but I supported the charity.
I had a drink and then saw that the top that I liked was still in the shop window. At £98 I didn’t buy it!I took some photos on the way back, I was on plants today although the one that just looks like the path has three baby chaffinches in it, they were flying along in and stopping again a I walked long there must have been six or seven obviously finding something good to eat.
I did a bit to the jigsaw which is very tricky! And did the sketch based on the card I bought. One of the two oaks that Willian gave me to bonsai has a new shoot appearing and the other one looks okay, unlike the baby Birnam!I was pleased that I wasn’t completely exhausted after my walk today!

I’m glad you managed the walk today without being exhausted and having to use all the available benches. Maybe it was the travelling and all the walking you did here.
ReplyDeleteI like the first pic. It’s nice to see the combination of the water and all the lovely greenery. That looks quite a magical little place. (There could be fairies lurking)
The canvases are quite nice. They’d probably look good sitting on little easels. Do you know if any more of yours went, and if not do you get them back?
How the hell do they merit £98 for that? It looks no more than a T-shirt with a bit of printing or embroidery on it. I can’t believe anyone would pay that price for it. Looks more like £10 to me π
I found the chaffinches. Took me a minute.
The jigsaw is coming on. For a small one you’re definitely getting your monies worth from it π
I really like the sketch. You should try something simple with just one spot of colour in it. Like a patch of poppies with just one red one, or the Hermitage with just one tree in colour. I could be totally wrong but I just think it would look good. Well, that’s my non artist opinion, a pinch of salt springs to mind π
The oak looks very healthy. I do hope the baby Birnam pulls though π€π€
I was happy that I wasn’t quite so tired too. Onward and upward.
ReplyDeleteWhere that green pic was taken is quite magical, I was standing on a little wooden bridge.
There were one or two canvasses that I really liked but they already had the red sold stickers on.
I was a trifle gobsmacked when she told me the price of the top!
Have been jigsawing, haven’t got far!
