Another good concert

My inclination was to put a negative heading about my aching hip and knees, but as I made it to the concert focus on that. Tina went off to join the ‘dig’ at the field, I made dinner for this evening before I went out so as we could just heat it when we were ready to eat. Tina sent a photo when she was on a tea break, at least the area they were excavating was in the shade.

I walked to Dunkeld slowly as the hip,and knee were very uncomfortable, but it was worth is as the concert was very good again. The lady harpist was getting the enormous harp out of her car and using a trolley to get it into the cathedral. I took a pic while she was toning the harp and there is a photo of her in the program.
I had a drink and collected Tina’s prescription before walking home. I came through the village as taking the river path would have meant me tackling the the bridge which I didn’t want to attempt today. As it was I had a rest on the one bench en route! I got back at the same time as Tina who had left at the site and strained her calf. So we are a pair of old crocks at the moment!
We have watched some tennis and had tea, I will go out for watering but won’t do anything else.
I have started a pain diary to see if there is a pattern. Leaving the exercises and will stay indoors tomorrow.

  1. I know you’ve been suffering a lot lately, so a negative heading would have been perfectly understandable. Hopefully a bit of rest will help the pain subside a bit. If not maybe a bucket of pills from the doctor might do the trick 😊
Glad you got to the concert again. The harpist is a very pretty lady with a really great name. I’m guessing she sounded pretty good too. Shame you couldn’t take the river path, but it was definitely the sensible thing to do. No point in taking chances.
I have a picture in my head of you and Tina sitting in the chairs like Hinge and Bracket 😂 Hopefully you remember them and it’s not just me. You’re definitely a couple of crocks 😂 It’s a good job Darren is back for good on Sunday. You two will need someone to look after you both!
I hope you got a big book for the pain diary. I’m sure you’ll have a lot of entries ☹️ It’s a very good idea though, because we all tend to forget things when we go to the doctors. Although knowing me I’d end up forgetting to take it 😊

  2. She was a lovely lady, chatted about the pieces she was going to play and the variety of the pieces was great. She explained that changing key on the harp is done by pedals.
Yes, I remember Hinge and Bracket, in fact them live many years ago and they were very funny. Made me smile at your reference although we aren’t dressed nearly as smartly!
I have upped the pills for now so fingers crossed.
