A big day today, Darren was on his way here and will be staying. Lovely for us to be together again after five months. So I made a cake this morning and got some balloons so that we could welcome his return, we decided the office entrance would be the best as you drive in towards it.
While Tina and I were having lunch Pandora settled on the cushion I use as a foot rest.
Then, looking out of the window we spotted a clever little mouse who he worked out how to reach the bird feeder, we have spotted it once before.
Darren arrived soon after 2pm as he had set off quite early. He bought me a pair of earrings made by a friend of someone at the archery club for fund raising.
I did do a sketch this afternoon and used a blender pen for the shading.
We have had dinner and now a relaxing evening. Tina and I are quite tired as we stayed up to watch the football last night.
I’m so pleased Darren is home for good now. It’s been difficult for all of you with him travelling back and forth. I’m sure he won’t miss doing all those miles in the future. I think the balloons and sign were a great thing to do 😊 The cake will have also gone down well I’m guessing.
ReplyDeletePandora certainly does like to be comfortable. If it’s not a cushion it’s you she snuggles into. It’s very clever how the mouse found its way onto the bird feeder. It obviously wasn’t happy just getting the leftover crumbs on the ground 😊
I like the earrings Darren brought you. Very you. I’m guessing you’re wearing them now, or will be tomorrow.
I love the shading on the sketch. I didn’t even know those pens existed. The only blender I’m familiar with is for making smoothies 😂
What was the final score last night? Can’t say as I’ve heard it mentioned on the radio today.
Has Darren any plans now he’s up there permanently, or is he just going to go with the flow?
England won 2.-0 but could have played better, but they are through to the knock out stages.

I think he was pleased we had a welcome sign up.
I was pleased with the effect I got with the blender, will use it again.
