Garden and evening drive

I decided to dig out a jigsaw that I have had for a few years and never done, it is Scrabble one with a word puzzle to do when it is finished.

After Darren left to drive back to Hornsea for the last time I decided to go nd strimmer the stretch of garden at the back of the bungalow. I hadn’t realised how overgrown it was, I don’t really go round there. Had to clear the steps near the back door first, overgrown hydrangea and sticky weeds and other weeds!
And then wondered if the strimmer would be up to it!
You cannot really see how long the weeds were in thar garden because of the shadow. My arm felt like it would drop off holding the strimmer so the along the path I pulled the weeds out.  Not great but a little less like a jungle.

I watched the tennis final and did some reading this afternoon. This evening Tina suggested that we take a pack up and go and sit at the benches outside the Loch of the Lowes but it was closed so we pulled into a passing place nd ate our snack in the car and could see the loch through the trees.

We then carried on down the road to see where it went and ended up at another car park that was open and there was a walk to Loch Clunie so we went for a wander.

Tina by the start of the path.
We had a wander round the derelict Clunie church an interesting building.

A mystery tour to get home, we saw hares and rabbits crossing the road. A lovely way to end the day.

  1. The scrabble puzzle is a bit different. A puzzle in a puzzle. Should be fun.
I think you’ve done a really good job of clearing that bit of garden. You can see how tall the weeds were. I counted how many bricks high they were 😊 That’s a good job out the way….for now!
I think your evening excursion was great! Such a good way to spend a warm evening. The Lochs are so nice and a derelict church thrown in too. I’m totally envious 😊 Great pics as well. The closest I come is town park near the paddling pool with a sarnie 😊 I don’t see many hares and rabbits though!

  2. The garden does look a bit tamer, which is a god start.
It was a nice unexpected trip out, it was a lovely evening and new places to take photos of.
