Getting there

This morning I walked with Darren to Dunkeld along the river path. It wasn’t too muddy, which was good and we had a drink before we walked back. Most walking I have done in over a week and I wasn’t in too much discomfort so that bodes well for the trip to Wimbledon as there will be a lot of walking involved. While we were out we saw this plant and Darren used his phone to identify it, popular name is goats beard, really lovely, I would like to have one in  pot so it can move with us at some point.

I got the edges of the jigsaw done yesterday evening and Darren has been working on it today.

I am taking regular photos of the sticks that have now got leaves and keeping them in n album so that when I do the talk next yer I can illustrate their progress.

This afternoon I sat with the sleeping cat on my lap for some time, tried to read but I nodded off as well!
I have done a sketch.
Watching Serena ply tennis now, not as well as we had hoped.

  1. It’s nice you can drag Darren along for the odd walk now and again. It’s also good that you managed it without too much pain. Is it tomorrow you go to Wimbledon? I know you told me but I have a head like a sieve! That’ll definitely test out your walking abilities!
A plant in a pot to MOVE with you! You don’t want to be moving again for a very long time, if ever. It’s way too stressful and damn hard work, as you well know!
These jigsaw are going to get even quicker now you have Darren there too. Three handed they should only take a third of the time 😊 I quite like this one, but then I do like clocks.
Those sticks are doing really. It’s a good idea taking pics of their progression. You’ve got more bottle than me as I couldn’t doing a talk like that.
You must have needed to catch up with some sleep if you nodded off like that. Pandora knows when you need a rest and pins you down 😊
    Another nice sketch.
Shame Serena isn’t doing too well. It’s hard to be at the top of the game forever though. But you never know.

  2. Darren likes to stop and look at the trees when we are walking so it ends up being a nice easy pace for me. I did say he could go ahead on the way back if he wanted to.
Yes, the jigsaws probably will get finished quicker now. I picked this one with Darren and I think he relay likes the image too.
The sticks are doing well. The Birnam baby looks much the same so I am still willing it to survive!
Moving certainly isn’t high on my agenda but I am loath to spend lots of money on plants that live to give someone else pleasure!
Serena has somehow taken the match to a third set!
