Visits and a wasted walk

I was up a bit later today, not too surprised as I was very tired last night. I went to see Bel and I remembered to take my latest jigsaw for her to do. She was a bit down in the dumps today, but we had a good chat and a cuppa. When I left her I popped along to see Sher at the shop. She is organising a craft event in the parish hall this evening and tomorrow.

Tina and I had lunch at the community cafe that opens in the parish hall three times a week. The ‘special’ on todays menu was very tasty sausage meat pie.

A thought I would walk up to Tesco and send a package before collecting my prescription and walking to Jeans. When I got there the boxes where you put the parcels was out of use, so I walked back into the town and collected my prescription and dropped them off at home. Then set out to walk to Jeans. Nearly all the leaves have fallen now, but still some autumn colour.

I walked by the sea, a very grey day today.
This seagull actually started to walk towards me when I was going to take a photo. Will post all three.

Jean seemed quite bright, I hadn’t seen her for a couple of weeks. They have a buyer for their house, but the bungalow they were interested in has been bought. So now they need to be viewing more properties.
Terry drove me home as usual. The parcel that was being collected had got a bit damp with the rain, hopefully no damage to the books inside.
A couple if days ago Pandora bit me and one puncture bled a lot, so I have had a plaster over it. I am going to leave it open now and hope I don’t knock it. Nice set of teeth marks!

This evening Tina and I were going to go to the craft fair together. She had gone into church so I tried taking a picture while I waited for her.
Watching a bit of tv now.

  1. Back to a normal busy day for you. Definitely the opposite to mine.
I hope Bel felt a bit better by the end of your visit? Sounds like Jean has to get her skates on to find another place she likes. Hopefully the buyer won’t drop out. That’s the trouble with chains, one mess up up and everyone suffers.
You and the Rev are getting to be “the ladies that lunch” these days 😊 Don’t blame you.
I was looking at the nearly bare trees in my road today, and the piles of leaves on the floor. A sure sign that winter isn’t far away!
The seagull probably thought you had food on you you and decided to check you out!
That looks a bit nasty on your hand. Cats are sods, you do everything for them and then they bite you!
I quite like your church pic. The three distinctive gravestones in the middle make it look quite spooky 👻

  2. Yes, I think Bel was brighter when I left and she was looking forward to starting the jigsaw.
The extra walk to no avail was a bit of a pain, but it meant I got a fair bit of exercise today.
The seagull might well have thought I had something for it, but it amused me as it seemed to be ready for a photo shoot!
That had is still a bit tender but hopeful getting some air now will soon sort it out.
Jean was being okay about the one they missed, just saying that it wasn’t meant to be. Fingers crossed they find something else.
