Boot sale and afternoon walk

Went to the boot sale with Darren as usual, it was not that busy and our eating place wasn’t open. Darren suggested we have a look round  then go to the cafe when we came home. We didn’t buy anything and then did go and have a very nice breakfast at Mondo.

Did a couple of chores nd then got on with dinner, a lunchtime dinner today as Tina had an evening service.

After dinner I decided to go for a walk and headed for the trail.

At the stream I met John, the church organist, and we walked the rest of the trail together. He is 98 I think and had to slow down for me to keep up! We parted at the end and I went along by the se.
I had a drink in the leisure centre and took a photo of the puffin with its Christmas scarf!
I came back through the memorial gardens. There had been a remembrance service there this morning.

The forecast rain didn’t arrive. Maybe it will arrive tomorrow as a wet week is forecast.

  1. A non busy boot sale does mean less coming home with you, so it’s not all bad 😊 Plus you get breakfast out with Darren.
If it’s forecast that you’re in for a wet week it was a good idea to get out for a walk in the dry! I know you’ve been surpassing your step target lately, so I’m sure you’re keen to keep it up. I hope you’ve got some good waterproof gear for next week. Maybe the forecast is wrong. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time.
I do think it’s funny that John had to slow down for you 🙂 He might be old, but he probably still has good knees! It’s not your fault you have to slow down a bit these days.
The display at the memorial gardens looks really nice. I never see anything as nice down this way.
Hopefully you’re enjoying a nice restful evening, probably with a somewhat vicious cat! 😊

  2. The teeth marks are still visible on my hand. She is sleeping peacefully at the moment,
We still enjoyed our wander round the boot sale and breakfast was a bonus.
The walk was quite pleasant, even if I was a bit demoralised!
Three were wreaths from all the schools at the war memorial and even the nursery school.
