The main story of the day is the snow. First picture was in the dark and then a few more.
We had dry spells, sleet and occasional snow. There was a thaw of sorts but still a lot of snow around, could be treacherous out there if it freezes tonight. I went out and brushed the path by the back door early so we could get to the bins. Pandora didn’t know what to make of the snow so hasn’t been out much today.
I did a bit of sorting and found this tray, sent a message to Sher and she said she would like it. So I went carefully to the shop and had a natter with Sher and Haley.
We went across to the cafe over the road for lunch. The service there is slow but the food was great when it arrived. I wrapped a few presents when we got back and I marzipaned six cakes, have a couple more to do but have run out of boxes for now. Sher may remember to fetch hers by the time I get back from America!Visit day tomorrow, but Jean is coming here this week as I need to be in for a delivery.

In some respects you’re lucky to have the snow. I was hoping we’d get some down here. On the other hand it’s not good if you want to get out and about without falling on your backside ๐ You do get some great pics in the snow. I particularly like the last one of the trees. Ad you say though if it freezes tonight it’ll be treacherous out there tomorrow! Definitely a day to stay in.
ReplyDeleteThe tray is very nice. I’m guessing it’s a genuine bit of slate. Very unusual.
It’s good that you made it out to lunch, but you certainly haven’t slacked if you’ve got cakes done. If Sher keeps forgetting the cake box then give her hers in a carrier bag ๐
It is a genuine piece of slate, I thought it would be good for Sher to display some of the jewellery or small pottery pieces on. She forgets the cake box every day, it has become a standing joke!
ReplyDeleteHaving the two big gardens mens snow makes quite an impact. I liked the one of the trees as the sun had just caught them, but sadly the sun didn’t hang around!
