I keep forgetting to say that almost two weeks go I lost my smart watch, pity it had a not so smart owner! I still can keep an eye on my steps as long as I remember to have my phone in my pocket! Have done over 15.000 today which is a lot by my standards.
The glass fusing shop doesn’t open until ten so I decided to have a walk and time it so that I got back to the shop as it opens. The mahonia in the front garden has really stunning blooms and they are just about open enough to release their scent.
I walked off towards Tesco, the stream I pass still isn’t a stream even though we have had some rain now.
Some pics along the trail.
Then a couple in the memorial garden that is getting ready for the remembrance service.
I got to the glass fusing place just on ten and Stan, one of the owners was just sweeping up. I am really pleased with the way the volcano has turned out. One photo flat on white paper nd another one with the light behind. Photos with the light behind look much darker that it actually appears to the eye.
Tina helped my get another batch of books scanned to sell and then we drove to a farm shop to stock up with meat. We brought the meat home and into the freezer then we walled to Cafe Eden to have lunch and from there walked on and along the road and wandered round the closed cemetery, closed as in no more burials, it was of course open to walk round.
We discovered four war gives in there and Tina will check that they are registered. As we were leaving there were some great fungi.
After that we walked along the trail and to the new cafe on the front to get a drink. At a house just before we arrived had a fun front garden.
We watched a bit of tv when we got home, and I started sorting through my cds.
I’m a bit lost. You say you lost your smart phone, but then said about having your phone in your pocket. Did you mean you lost your smartwatch? Either way it’s not good!
ReplyDeleteYou were so keen to get the volcano back you had to go walking to make the time go quicker 😂 I have to say it does look really nice. I can imagine it looking even better in real life though. The camera does tend to darken backlit images. I really do hope the cat, or anyone else for that matter, doesn’t knock it over!
Were the leaves on the ground like that, or did you use a little artistic licence to arrange them?
You have been busy today. Ladies out lunching and out drinking….non alcoholic of course 😊
I like the front garden you pictured. That’s my sort of garden. I could cope with looking after that 😂
Enjoy Traitors.
Well, I am not being that smart at the moment either! I have amended the post to say smart watch now!
ReplyDeleteThe leaves were just there on the path like that and it caught my eye.
I am hay with the volcano, I wondered if I would find the cutting difficult, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Fair bit of exercise today so hoping I stay awake during Traitors,
