Long day travelling

Left home with Tina before 8am for the drive to Manchester airport, a fairly good journey and a lovely day, took about two and a half hours and we went to the free bus car park. Tina saw me onto the bus into the terminal but was disappointed s you cannot pick up from there,  and that had been the reason for going there so a I knew where to head for. We will decide on pick up before I come home. The airport was quite quiet and I dropped the luggage off and hd plenty of time to get to the gate.

We were on board the plane just after 12.30pm but didn’t actually get away until gone half past one.

The flight was seven and a half hours , but had a nice lunch and a fun afternoon tea!

It was raining when I arrived, there  was a wheelchair waiting so I didn’t have the long walk and queue at passport control. Had a nice surprise a Lee was waiting for me. The drive back was very busy and took over two hours. We have had a chat and something to eat and now it is about 2 am UK time!
Will finish with a wet picture of Whitestone bridge for a change!

  1. Well that is a long old day, but worth it to see the family and have a break. You certainly have more stamina than me! Judging by the wet pic of the bridge you'll certainly feel at home πŸ™‚
The afternoon tea on the plane was good. Quite amusing. I suppose you can now tell people you're part of the mile high club πŸ˜‚
It was nice that Lee was waiting at the airport for you. Always good to see a face you know when you arrive.
    Have a great time.
