I spent the morning do odd jobs and some washing but did pop out to see Sher a Botany Boutique. She had got the latest lot of Prop Squad cuttings so I now have the latest one in water. A couple of the others have really good roots now.
This afternoon I went into the garden and hoed a bed ready to plant the contents of one of the planters in the front garden. A man had asked Tina if he could park his van on the drive as he was working over the road. He clipped one of the planters but did tell us and said he would pay for a replacement. That was a first, two of the others have been hit but no one told us about it. When I hoed the bed I noticed that the miniature pampas I had planted there as it was being overrun with couch grass where it had been plant, had produced on grass! The planter was well broken!I planted it in the bed where all the waifs and story’s end up!
This yucca was just a wee shoot when I planted it there about seven years ago, now it is nearly as tall as me.One last garden photo, the small tree is just glorious.
I did take some unused medication to the chemist, I have meant to do that for a while.
I will collect nt fused glass piece in the morning.

An easyish day for you then. Shame you don’t get more like it.
ReplyDeleteYou’ve really done well with all the cuttings. I know you don’t have to do a great deal with them, but if I did exactly the same as you to the letter, they’d all die. I’m just a harbinger of doom for all plants!
As you say, a first for the driver to tell you about the pot and offer to pay. Puts all the so called Christians to shame! Good job you have a large garden to transplant these accidents to. I bet the plant will love it after being in a pot for a long time. It probably jumped in the path of the van in desperation 😂
The yukka and the Christmas tree do look very good. Christmas lights on it this year?
Yayyy, fused glass day tomorrow 😊
May get some lights a that tree would look splendid.
ReplyDeleteIt isn’t worth replacing the pots, concrete ones would be good but then it would be hard to move them for own cutting!
I have enjoyed getting the cuttings to grow, pretty successful so far.
Iwill be at the door when they open at the glass fusing place!
