I have been wanting an old fashioned towel rail for some time as I have to put an airer up to dry my towels after a shower or try and throw then over the shower surround! There was one in the auction on Saturday and I made a bid on line. Well, I got it and Tina collected it with me this morning. I think it is early 20th Century and I really like it. Now in use on the landing and I can still get to my rooms!
Most days a different sky and yesterday evening was no exception!
Tina dropped me off at the end of North Marine Road after we had collected the towel rail and I cut through so that I could have a look at the sea. Quite a dull cold day today and it was pretty deserted apart from runners and dog walkers.
Those of you who have been up here know that there is a huge statue of a man sitting on a bench along the North bay, but this photo looks like a giant enjoying the view, and the little people passing by!
Walking back I saw the signs of autumn well on it's way.
The rain had settled on a large leaf in the garden. Really must get the inclination to get in the garden as it is sorely in need of some attention.
I have spent a lot of time trying a new recipe this afternoon, guess I am out of practice as well. This is a coconut and mango cake, the frosting is more like custard so will be hysterical when it comes to cutting it, let's hope the taste is worth the effort.

  1. Very tasty, not at all custard-like!

  2. Oh I'm sure the cake will taste yummy disputed its look. I have a towel rail similar to your only in dRk wool, use it all the time very useful.

Dry but colder here I'm sure the sea water will be very cold now. X
