Yesterday evening at the craft class we made the storage bags on an embroidery hoop. A larger hoop and they turned out quite well. Here is mine.
The postcard entries for the exhibition/sale at Woodend gallery needed to be delivered as tomorrow is the final submission day. I never did find the one I did but Linda made five and Sue made one so I got them delivered.
The garden at Woodend looked great!
I went off then to meet Anne and her mum, she had been in the hostel I ran in the early 1990's and we have kept in touch. They had come to Scarborough on holiday. We had a coffee at the hotel and then took a walk along the front. There were lots of seagulls like this one in a pool on the sand, seemingly paddling!
A picture of Anne and her mum and one of Anne with me.
When I got home Tina took me to Deans garden centre as I am almost out of wild bird seed. We had a look at the plants of course, and I bought a couple. We heard loud bird song near up and to our delight it was a little wren only a few feet away. No time to get the camera out but so lovely. One plant was really attracting the bees.
A few Swifts live there, you can tell this in one by the tail!!
Then we stopped at The Mere and walked round the lake. Took this water lily and I think a water boatman!
Ann and her Mum look just the same may be a few years old but good. Lovely for you to meet on home ground, they have had great weather for their holiday. The storage bag is very nice, you are so cleaver. Plants very attractive. Love all the different colours. Xx
