Today Sandy at the ceramic studio asked if I would go along as a volunteer as she would be on her own.I made another wreath and topped up the bird feeders and then went along for 10 am. As it happened, apart from some enquiries and a few people collecting items it was a very quiet day. I had a small plate to paint as part of their loyalty scheme, and also did a rather silly Christmas plate. Sandy did odd jobs and paperwork and then began decorating a vase that she had actually made. You can go in and make items from scratch as well as painting the biscuit fired selection.
We chatted a lot and it was very enjoyable, Sandy took a picture of me with my plates, you can see some of the selection of items available behind me.
I, of course took a closer picture of the plates, they will look quite different when glazed and fired.
I took a walk into town a little after 2 pm to get some gift bags and peanuts. Walked up onto the cliff top on the way back, the surf on the sea was very different today, the season is really changing now.

  1. Plates look interesting as you say will look different again once fired. The sea looks cold. Still good weather for Nov, let's hope it's not going to be a hard winter. The birds will stay if it's mild. X

    1. Still plenty of birds at the moment, and the new feeders seem to be less wasteful. x

  2. I like both the plates, but the water lilly in particular. I think you should have a go at making a vase from scratch and decorating it.

The surf does look different, definitely more Wintry. Still not a bad day though, and in a couple of weeks you'll have sun again, as it always shines when I come to visit. Well it has up to now, but I'm that will change!

    1. I liked that one too, just thought of the Christmas plate in bed last night! I am sure the sun will make a return for you. :-)
