A cold but bright morning, with rain forecast tonight, so Tina and I headed off to Bridlington to look round the shops. We parked near the front, pretty chilly, but I took a picture of a row of lovely old seaside houses, mostly hotels or bed and breakfasts I would imagine.
We both bought a new bag and I got stuff for making some more wreaths and an owl pattern made from the same wool as the hedgehogs, and some more bits for the boxes. Not a great deal of actual Christmas shopping which was the plan! The cafe at the Boyes shop there is called Bay View and I toll a picture through the window.
We got home somewhat shattered but it had been fun. The we sat for a while and sorted buttons!!
When people turn up at the group they will be able to select their buttons more easily now. Note I said 'when', ever the optimist......
Lovely coloured sky in the first picture. You really wouldn't think it was taken in November.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you had a fun day out. By not doing the Christmas shopping you'd intended to do, you have the perfect excuse for another day out with Vicarage :-)
That's very true. :-)
ReplyDeleteBridlington, we know it well my favourite hat was purchased there almost 18 years ago, only just put it to one side as Zoe bought me a lovely one from Peru but can't bear to ditch it. Shame it's not very up and coming as it has some very pleasant parts. I'm sure your Button Class will pick up soon it's always difficult to get new things off the ground. Good Luck don't lose heart. Xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a good long time to keep a hat, I am sure you will wear it again eventually. Not worried about the class, like you say, I am sure it will pick up. xx
